This is a LOVELY authentic Maiko's summer Darari obi in VERY good used condition!! This obi was sourced from an
okiya
(maiko and geisha house) in Kyoto, the center of the maiko and geiko universe!
There are small flaws such as dye transfer and a few areas of loose threads but that's it. The obi is still looking fresh and lovely, and the flaws are hard to notice when worn!! This obi features
asagao
(morning glory) flowers in a lovely muted blue and red. It is very long, approximate 6 meters, and will be great to use to tie a Darari bow. The textile is sheer summer Ro silk, which has a crisp and textured feel. There is a large kamon embroidered at one end of the obi.
