Odori Obi | Vintage 1980's Geisha Dance Ro Summer Silk Maru Orange Gold LONG!!

Description

Up for sale is a gorgeous Kyoto Geiko's Odori Obi, a LONG (189 inches, when most women's obi are around 160 inches!) obi worn for dancing. It was originally purchased from an okiya in Kyoto, so the obi was worn by Geiko. The weave is "ro," which means that it is made for summer. The color is a modern sherbert orange with gold and silver embroidery. Both sides are the same design and material so it's made as a maru obi.
This piece is in great condition! No obvious/noticeable flaws, although it is vintage and has been worn, so there are small frays, smudges, and snags that were difficult to photograph (including the last picture).
