Rare Flat Pair of Black Candle Holders from Westite / Akro Agate

A  vintage  &  very  Rarely  seen  matching  pair  of
beautifully
colored  Elegant  BLACK  CANDLE  HOLDERS
from  the
1930s  glass
Era  of   Akro  Agate  or
Westite
. There  is  a  credible  argument  on
either  side ....
These  are  the  same  shape  and  height  of  known
Akro  Agate  Candle Holders . Picture  3  shows  a  very strong
light
shining  through  the  thick  side-wall  giving  a  mostly
brownish -
reddish - amber colored  light ,  which  suggests
Westite .
Each  measures  3  1/2 "  across  the  base  in  diameter ,
and
stands  1  3/4 "  high .   Neither  has  any  damage  like  chips , flakes ,
dings , bruises , or  cracks ..... no  unsightly  bubbles , scratches ,
stains , or  utensil  marks  .
Neither  candle  holder  has  a  mould  number  nor  a
maker's  mark
on  the  under side .
